What to Expect

After the consult and prior to the initial session, please read this information as well as the 2 attached packets (see below): Disclosure/Informed Consent Agreement, and HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Before our initial session you will be provided with a link to a confidential HIPAA compliant telehealth platform called Simple Practice. This is the video platform we will use to facilitate our sessions. No later than the day before our initial session, please log-in and complete the requested questionnaires and (after reading) sign the Disclosure/Informed Consent Agreement, and HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices.

During the initial session, we will address your questions regarding informed consent and privacy practices. We also discuss your reasons for seeking therapy. During subsequent sessions, we’ll further discuss your current challenges, resources/strengths, goals, and relevant past circumstances. This exploration is strengthened by explanations you’ve supplied with the Simple Practice Questionnaires. These first few sessions will help in forming a treatment plan.

Session Information

Each session is 60 minutes and payment is due at the time of service. If you need to be late or depart early, I will still need to end on time and charge the full fee.

I am a participating provider with the following insurance companies: Regence, Aetna, First Choice Health, United Behavioral Health, Premera, Evernorth, and Kaiser. Feel free to inquire with me further.

For private pay clients, electronic payment via the Simple Practice platform is preferred. My fee is $130 for a 60 minute session. When income/expenses necessitate, a sliding scale is available from $110 per session. We can finalize this at your first session.

24 hours notice is required when cancelling or changing an appointment. Excepting emergencies or unforeseen illnesses, you will be charged $40 for the missed session. Please be prepared to pay for the missed session when you attend your next scheduled appointment.
